Welcome
Wallaga University Library and Documentation Service was set up in January 2007. The main goal of the Library is to back the university to achieve its goal of research-based, student-centered teaching-learning task and knowledge transfer. The Library is located in the main campus, Nekemte. It gives 24/7 full library, Internet and information service to about 30,000 student population and more than 1500 academic staff members.
Our University
Wallaga University (WU) is located in Nekemte, Oromia, Ethiopia. The university was established in 2007. It is accredited by Ministry of Education, Ethiopia, and affiliated to Consortium of Ethiopian Public Universities. There are more than 30,000 students studying various programs run by Wallaga University in its three campuses.

Our library offers both traditional and technology based services to its users.

Services are offered in the main campus (Nekemte), Gimbi and Shambu campuses:
Our library is open 24 hours a day throughout the week.
